Atsuta Houraiken Jingu

What's disappointing
- The seasoning is very salty, which might be overwhelming for those who prefer light flavors
- The wait time is over an hour, and it's not really worth that much of a wait
- There are many other eel restaurants in Nagoya with better value for money
What's still okay
- No fishy smell from the eel, and it has a nice fatty flavor
- The texture of the eel is soft and moist
- Eating it ochazuke-style creates a deep flavor as the broth and seasoning blend together
If you still go
I recommend visiting only if the wait is under 30 minutes. Since the seasoning is salty, try using wasabi or the ochazuke method to balance it out.
