Some say the exhibit guidance is mostly in Japanese, making the content hard to understand. It’s not very well known as a tourist spot, so expectations may be low.

- Located inside Nakajima Park, so it’s nice to stop by on a walk and enjoy the quiet atmosphere
- The exhibits are considered well put together, covering Hokkaido’s literary history broadly
- There are special exhibitions too, so there’s plenty to see
Since many exhibits are in Japanese, it helps to have a topic in mind beforehand, and it’s best to combine it with a casual park walk for a light visit.
