Atsuta Jingu Treasure House

What's disappointing
- Not worth the 500 yen entry fee; a waste of money
- All exhibition descriptions are in Japanese, making it difficult for foreigners to understand
- Photography is prohibited, so you can't take any records
- The main treasure, the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, is not on display, and other exhibits are mostly Japanese swords, which are uninteresting for general tourists
What's still okay
- The Miya Kishimen restaurant inside the shrine is delicious and has a nice atmosphere
- The restrooms are clean
- The main Atsuta Jingu shrine area is free to enter and open 24 hours
- It has deep historical significance and beautiful scenery
- The main shrine area is free to enter and open 24 hours
If you still go
Unless you are a Japanese sword enthusiast, skip the Treasure House. I highly recommend the main shrine area and the Miya Kishimen restaurant.
